This great Wade Lowe photo of Sneaky Pete Robinson coming off the line was taken at Newton County Drag Strip. I believe this was taken in 1961, but I'm not sure if it was before or after he won Top Eliminator at Indy that year.
Wade Lowe and his brothers (Ray and Roy - twins) had drag raced in the Atlanta area for several years. Their fastest car was a beautiful ex-Art Chrisman Chrysler Hemi powered roadster. Wade was, at one time, an advisor for NHRA and he also was one of the leading drag racing photographers in the Southeast. Thanks to Mr. Lowe for sharing this photo with GeorgiaDragRacing.com.
