Clayton Harris was the crew chief on Richard Holcomb's radical dragster. This car featured an extremely narrow rear end (the parachute pack barely fit between the tires) that was designed by Harris. Richard and Clayton were the third Top Fuel team to record a 4-second pass. I saw Richard race at Atlanta Dragway a few times and he always accomplished a lot with little funding. One of the most touching things that I ever saw at a drag race was when, after Richard had passed away just before the NHRA Southern Nationals, the crew towed the dragster down the Atlanta Dragway track one last time. -- David Dilbeck
