Atlantan Hoyt Grimes started drag racing in the early 1950s and was considered the granddaddy of southeastern drag racing. He was one of the few people to race a dragster in Georgia. This car was constructed from an aircraft belly tank and was powered by a Chrysler Hemi. -- David Dilbeck
