- Finished fourth in the national point standings
- Runner up at the Division 2 race in Douglas, Ga.
- Won Division 2 event in Ethridge, Tenn.
- Runner up at the Division 5 event in Morocco, Indiana.
- Finished in second place in Division 2 point standings by a mere 18 points.
- Finished fourth in in national point standings (again), barely missing the championship by almost crashing on an oily race track in Budds Creek, Maryland in the semi finals. This took me out of the points.
- Several semi final and quarter final finishes that kept me in the running for the championship up to the last national event in Shreveport, La.
2000
- Attended all IHRA National Events and HSC Events
- Runner up at Hub City Dragway.
- Won at Southern Dragway.
- Won at Lone Star Raceway
- Won at Red River Raceway
- Finished #4 in World Championship Points.
- Won 2000 Division 2 Championship.
1999
- Attended all IHRA National Events and WCS Events
- Finished #6 in World Championship Points.
1998
- Ran a limited schedule.
- Won Holbrook Tools Quick 8 , Cordova Ill.
- Won World Finals, Shreveport, La.
- Finished semi finals WCS, Clay City, KS.
- Helped Jeff Dobbins win the 1998 Top Sportsman World Championship in the Davis Motorsports 1996 Beretta.
1997
- Finished as runner-up at Holley Nationals, Louisville, Ky.
- Finished as runner-up at Fall Nationals, Bristol, Tenn,
- Finished as runner-up at Hattiesburg, WCS Event.
- Won Jackson, SC, WCS Event.
- Finished season with 5 semifinal finishes.
- Finished season with 6 quarterfinal finishes.
- WON 1997 TOP SPORTSMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
1996
- Davis finished the season with an outstanding seven semifinal finishes and eight quarter final finishes.
- Finished as runner up at the IHRA WCS event at Tri-State Dragway.
- Won Top Sportsman Title at the IHRA Snap On Tools Finals.
- Won quick 4 race at Muncie WCS event.
- Finished as runner-up at Ohio Valley WCS Event.
- Finished 4th in the IHRA Top Sportsman points standings.
1995
- Won the IHRA Winter Nationals in Scribner, Ohio.
- Won the Summer Nationals in Moroco, Indiana.
- Won Jackson, South Carolina WCS event.
- Finished 4th in the top ten of IHRA Top Sportsman Point standings.
- Was very successful bracket racing locally.
1994
- Finished semi-finalist in first return outing at IHRA WCS in Greer, South, Carolina.
- Finished as Semi-finalist at Louisville, Kentucky based IHRA WCS event.
- Won IHRA Mid-America Nationals in Scribner, Ohio.
- Finished as runner-up at IHRA Grand American Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- Won Kingston WCS event on Saturday and Sunday won a Top Sportsman/Top Dragster Shootout.
- Finished 7th in top ten of the IHRA Top Sportsman points standings.
1991
- Won the IHRA Winter Nationals in Darlington, South Carolina.
- Won IHRA Dixie Nitrous Nationals in Jackson, South Carolina.
- Won IHRA Gateway Nitrous Nationals in St. Louis, Missouri.
- Won IHRA Fall Nationals in Bristol, Tenn.
- Won three IHRA WCS events.
- Three events held in Mooresville, North Carolina, Bristol, Tennessee, and North Wilksboro, North Carolina.
- Won second consecutive IHRA Top Sportsman World Championship!
- Awarded IHRA Sportsmanship of the year Award

- Rose as high as second place in NHRA Super Gas Point Standings.
1985
- Won 24 local races in the local Lilburn, Ga region.
- Won Super Gas eliminator at the NHRA Snowbird Nationals in Bradenton, Florida.

- Earned nickname 'King' for his domination of King Of the Hill Drag Races.
